Chi Sao is Wing Chun's specialty, with practitioners developing fine contact reflex skills which will aid them in close quarter combat. If a confrontation becomes physical, one can bet that distance will close and extreme contact will occur. By developing good sensitivity for contact reflexes, Wing Chun practitioners are well known for their trapping and pinning skills in-close. Only by correctly interpreting all the "small thoughts" and "young ideas" found in the Sil Lim Tao form can a Wing Chun practitioner learn to unlock the keys needed to develop this "sixth sense of combat."
