Wing Chun’s first form – Sil Lim Tao - the Way of Small Thoughts or the Way of Young Ideas - is the cornerstone of this fascinating and practical martial art. One of the main purposes of learning and training this form is to help the Wing Chun practitioner learn how to do chi sao (sticky hands) drills. Chi Sao is Wing Chun’s specialty, with practitioners developing fine contact reflex skills which will aid them in close quarter combat. If a confrontation becomes physical, one can bet that distance will close and extreme contact will occur. By developing good sensitivity for contact reflexes, Wing Chun practitioners are well known for their trapping and pinning skills in-close. Only by correctly interpreting all the “small thoughts” and “young ideas” found in the Sil Lim Tao form can a Wing Chun practitioner learn to unlock the keys needed to develop this “sixth sense of combat.”
Sifu Dana Wong will be the “locksmith”, helping YOU to find those hidden concepts in the Sil Lim Tao form. He will guide you through some simple contact-reflex drills and exercises that will enable you to later link them together in a modular fashion, to fit complex close-quarter fighting situations.
The first KEY to your progressive development is to BOOK NOW, so you can secure your place in this dynamic workshop in unlocking Sil Lim Tao’s hidden gems of wisdom. The Sil Lim Tao form is deceptively simple, one can even “learn” it by watching YouTube videos on the Internet. But to be able to truly harness the wisdom contained in that “simple” form, one needs a qualified guide to show you where to find it – Sifu Dana Wong will be your guide.
If you’re a Wing Chun practitioner, you won’t want to miss this workshop. If you practice and train in other styles and have been intrigued and fascinated with Wing Chun’s practical methodology, this workshop will give you practical insights to increase your martial arts knowledge and skills.
KEY into this message, and SECURE your spot for this tremendous opportunity to improve your martial skills.
There will also be opportunities for adult gradings / assessments and private lessons with Sifu Dana Wong.
